A Bit About Me

I'm a professional middleweight boxer from Barnet and the former British, Commonwealth and European Middleweight Champion.Nicknamed 'Dazzling Darren', I turned pro in 2004 and have a career record of 25-1-0. My current trainer is Tony Sims and am part of the Matchroom boxing promotions. 

Training with Ultimate Strength Limited

I travelled to Torrevieja in the Murcia region of Spain with Martin Ward (who’ll be making his professional debut on the Alexandra Palace bill) and we had the use of a gym owned by a friend of my trainer Tony Sims. We were joined by lightweight Ryan Taylor who, along with Martin and I, really benefited from the presence of our strength and conditioning coach Chris Kemp from Ultimate Strength Limited who has been working with all of us over the recent months.

The training we did was tough – a double session everyday – but I’m sure it will pay off for all of us. Personally, since partnering with Ultimate Strength Limited I feel that I'm in the best shape I have ever been in as a professional fighter and as a result, my self-belief is soaring. We all worked really hard out there and we’re all sure that the effort we put in will pay off. 

I have a lot of belief in the work that Ultimate Strength Limited do and have seen first hand the benefits that strength and conditioning training can achieve. I highly recommend Ultimate Strength Limited, not only for their understanding and application of training and fitness, but their overall professionalism and determination they bring to each session to ensure you achieve your goals. I am fitter, faster and stronger and its all thanks to these guys at Ultimate Strength Limited!
